Purpose:
The purpose of the Praise Band is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, provide an avenue through which individuals can share their gifts and be an integral part of worship, and encourage the congregation in their walk with Christ.
Description:
The Praise Band is a team of everyday people that volunteer to participate as lead worshipers in each of our Sunday morning services. This team consists of a rhythm section (guitars, drums and keyboards), a string section (violin, viola, cello), as well as a periodic horn section (brass, woodwinds).
Who are you serving?
The Praise Band involves high school students through adults of all ages.
What are the requirements?
The Praise Band is a team of volunteers, everyday people, with a heart of worship for the everlasting God. This team is by audition only.
When is this service opportunity needed?
The Praise Band participates as lead worshipers on Sunday mornings in both the 9:30 and 11:00 services. Preparation takes place, on an individual basis, two weeks prior to a member’s week of involvement. A final rehearsal/run-through takes place on Sunday morning, at 8:00, in the Worship Center.
