Welcome to Awanaź at First Baptist Church, Wentzville.  The name Awanaź is an acronym which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not
Ashamed" and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.  You will find that Awanaź provides a special place for your children to make new friends, play exciting games,
receive awards as reinforcement for their good performance, and have opportunities to learn and memorize God's Word, the Bible.
A Parent's Handbook is available and is designed to provide you with the basic information that you need to know about Awanaź at FBCW.  The staff of Awanaź is
composed of volunteer workers who care for each child.  They have been well trained and are ready to meet the needs of your child.
Your assistance as parents is very important so your child may get the most
from this program.  You can help by encouraging your child to attend each week
and by helping them to learn at least one section of their book each week.  Children get extra points if the parents have listened to and initialed their "sections".  Together we are partners in ministry and ask that you spend about
10-15 minutes each day working with your child on his or her book.
If you do not have a church home, we invite you to visit First Baptist of Wentzville.  We offer two Sunday School and Worship times.  Sunday School B and Worship I are from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.  Sunday School C and Worship II are from 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.  Classes for all ages are available.  Come and see which schedule is right for you.
We welcome you to visit Awanaź anytime and especially on parent nights.  If you have any questions about Awanaź or wish to get involved, we would love to hear
from you.  Please contact Steve and Gigi Grady at (636) 327-6711.
