Sara Bessie joined the church staff in the summer of 2021. She graduated from Truman State University with a B.A. in English and later earned an M.A. in Education at Lindenwood University. Prior to her role as the Children's Director, Sara worked as a teacher in a variety of settings, including high school, middle school, and preschool. With her husband, Derek, and their two children, Anna and Luke, Sara loves to play board games and hike.
